Two campuses, one line of inquiry — how does security meet intelligence, and how do you ship code that works in both worlds?
Four chapters of practice. One earned a formal testimonial — the others earned me the skills to write the next.
National service posting. Brought a programming background in from school and pointed it at the routine so the work could scale beyond one person.
CPL Muhammad Salmaan Bin Ahmed Nusrath was posted to Personnel Administration Support Section 2 as an Administrative Support Assistant (ASA). His main portfolio was to manage and execute the provision of awards and medals administration.
His primary job scope consisted of awards administration. He assisted with the (1) monitoring of unpresented medals and watches, (2) packing of medals, watches and National Service Excellence Award (NSEA) papers for In-Camp Trainings (ICTs), (3) updating of awards presentation in e-HR, and (4) preparation of NSEA congratulatory letters. Additionally, he had also supported the courier of NS medals and watches.
CPL Muhammad Salmaan was a well-disciplined and diligent soldier who took great pride in his work. He was a responsible and independent soldier who went about his job with minimal supervision. He had acquired the necessary skills and knowledge that enhanced his ability in accomplishing his tasks well.
CPL Muhammad Salmaan was also a smart and capable soldier with a strong background in programming, which he effectively applied to improve work processes during his National Service. By developing automation tools, he had enhanced the efficiencies and accuracies of routine tasks, demonstrating both initiative and technical proficiency of the skills he had acquired.
Beyond his individual contributions, he also willingly shared on his automation methodology with his peers and superiors, allowing the wider team to benefit from his innovation.
CPL Muhammad Salmaan has proven himself to be a team player who consistently went the extra mile to assist both his peers and superiors. He worked well with those around him, and his peers found him to be helpful and friendly. His superiors could count on his dependable character to complete tasks efficiently and responsibly.
